💳 Order Confirmation & Payment
Q: When is my order confirmed?
A: Your order is only confirmed after full payment is received. Unpaid orders will not be processed.
Q: What payment methods do you accept?

CASH: a 30% deposit via e-transfer is required to confirm your order. The remaining balance can be paid in cash upon pickup or delivery.
Please note: Orders without a deposit will not be processed.
Q: Are your cakes taxed?
A: All birthday cakes are zero-rated under Quebec sales tax regulation
Q: 🚚 Do you deliver?
Yes! We offer free delivery to all major areas in Gatineau and Ottawa.
A:Our daily delivery windows are:
🕛 11:30pm – 2:30pm
🌙 7:00pm – 9:00pm
Please note: Exact delivery times cannot be guaranteed.
Kindly make sure someone is available at the delivery address during the selected window.
Q:How far in advance should I place my order?
A:We accept bookings for any date within the next 6 months.
We recommend placing your order at least 3–7 days in advance, especially during weekends and holidays.
For custom designs or tall artisan cakes, 1–2 weeks notice is ideal.
If you have a last-minute request, feel free to ask — if time allows, we’ll always do our best to make it happen!
❗ Special Requests & Allergy Notice
Q:Do you offer allergy-safe cakes?
A: We do not recommend fresh flower cakes for anyone with food or pollen allergies. Please inform us of any dietary concerns when placing your order.
Q: I have a nut allergy. Can I still order your cakes?
A: For cakes that do not contain nuts as listed ingredients, we can ensure no nuts are used in your specific order. However, please note that we do not operate in a nut-free kitchen, and cross-contamination is possible.
Q: Can you make egg-free, dairy-free, or gluten-free cakes?
A: Sorry, we are unable to accommodate these requests at this time. Our cakes follow a professionally tested recipe to ensure texture and taste. We cannot offer cakes that exclude all eggs, dairy, or gluten.
🕒 Changes, Cancellations & Rush Orders
Q: Can I change or cancel my order?

Standard cakes with no special elements can be canceled up to 72 hours before pickup/delivery for a full refund or credit.

Cancellations made within 72 hours will receive a 50% refund.

Custom cakes or cakes with handmade toppers are subject to a 50% cancellation fee at any time after payment.
DO YOU PROVIDE FOAM TIERS?
Yes, we can provide foam tiers for cakes 3 tiers and above. Please note that discounts are not provided for foam tiers due to the costs associated with procuring and prepping the foam and the same amount of work is required to design the cake.
CAN MY FLORIST DECORATE THE CAKE?
Due to food safety and insurance reasons, only the JX Wedding Cakes team is permitted to dress the cake. We are happy to work with your florist to have them supply the florals for the cake prior to the event.
DO YOU DELIVER?
Yes, delivery can be organised in advance and is subject to availability. Delivery pricing is based on distance from DownTown Ottawa. We recommend that delivery be organised for wedding cakes.
WHAT HAPPENS IF I CHANGE OR CANCEL MY CAKE ORDER?
Any major changes to your order less than two full weeks before the required delivery date may incur a fee to cover the reworking of the cake design and/or loss of work already completed on the order.
The deposit / retainer fee is non-refundable.
